Home Ministry directs security forces to remain on high alert

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Home Affairs has directed security forces including the Armed Police Force to remain on high alert.

The home ministry issued such orders following mass protests in various parts of the country on Sunday.

The citizens have been taking to the streets saying that the prime minister’s move to dissolve the parliament is ‘unconstitutional’ and ‘undemocratic’. They have been demanding the prime minister to revoke the decision.
