SCT launches “Smart QR”, offers attractive discounts to the users

Kathmandu: Smart Choice Technologies (SCT), a Payment Service Operator (PSO) has launched “Smart QR” on Friday.

“Smart QR” is a QR code Payment Platform for banks, financial institutions and Payment Service Providers (PSP) of Nepal.

“The platform is capable of connecting with different Domestic and International QRC payment services under the single platform which will increase the accessibility of the services and reduce massive duplication on Merchant on-boarding with combined effort to enhance digitization of small value payments in Nepal,” reads the press release issued by the company. Smart QR has collaborated with Domestic payment services including Prabhu Pay, IMEPay, QPay and international associations with UnionPay International.

Newly launched Smart QR has offered up to 15 percent discount for the users. The wallet users can take benefits from this offer while transacting in department stores and online stores including Salesberry, Daily Grocery, NEWmart, Gyapu, Muncha and Infistore. Apart from this, the wallet users will get 10 percent discount in more than 50 restaurants in Kathmandu.

“Smart QR will continue collaborating with other domestic and international QRC Payment Service Providers to extend its accessibility and acceptability. The company will continuously extend its other form of payment technology platform to strengthen and support the growth as well as infrastructure for digital payment in Nepal,” says the press release.
