Jack Ma suspected to be missing shortly after criticizing China’s regulators
Agency: Jack Ma, co-founder of Alibaba group and second wealthiest person of China has been replaced as a judge in the final of Africa’s Business Heroes.
Reportedly, Jack Ma’s name has been removed from the website and he was left out of a promo video, writes The Mirror. According to The Financial Times, Jack Ma was not present there from November, shortly after he criticized China’s regulators and its state-owned banks
According to the Wall Street Journal, Chinese President Xi Jingping personally ordered the suspension of the public offering.
Lucy Peng, an executive at Alibaba has replaced the 56 year-old entrepreneur in the final. The final will be aired in the spring.
According to CNBC, Chinese billionaire Jack Ma following reports that the Alibaba founder has not made any public appearance in last two months.
