Biden’s victory confirmed

Congress confirmed Democrat Joe Biden as the presidential election winner early Thursday, according to AP News.

This happened after a violent mob loyal to President Donald Trump stormed the U.S. Capitol in attempt to overturn America’s presidential election.

Lawmakers were resolved to complete the Electoral College tally in a display to the country, and the world.

Lawmakers finished their work and confirmed that Biden won the election.

Vice-President Mike Pence announced the tally, 306-232.

“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th,” Trump said in a statement posted to Twitter by an aide.
