BBC features Sapana Roka Magar under 100 inspiring women around the world

Kathmandu: Sapana Roka Magar has been listed in the 100 inspiring and influential women from around the world for 2020 by the BBC.

Eighteen-year-old Magar from Myagdi has been engaged in an organisation which  retrieves the abandoned bodies from the street or mortuaries and arrange to be taken to hospital for post-mortem examinations.

If the body remains unclaimed for 35 days, her organisation brings it to the crematorium and performs the last rituals.

BBC revealed its list for most inspiring and influential women from around the world for 2020 on November 24.

The list of 100 women highlights the women who are leading change and making a difference during the pandemic, according to BBC.
