US issues additional visa restriction for Chinese officials

Agency: United States of America has issued additional visa restriction on Chinese officials who are believed to have engaged in alleged human rights abuse, according to Aljazeera.

US Secretary Mike Pompeo said that the restrictions affect officials believed to be responsible for repressing religious practitioners, ethnic minority groups, dissident and others.  

China-US ties have grown increasingly hostile over the past year.

Apart from restricting visa, US also added dozens of Chinese companies to a trade blacklist on Friday.
