New poll due after unity govt dissolves: Israel election

Agency: Israel is preparing to hold its fourth elections in two years, reports BBC.

The decision comes after the two main parties in the government couldn’t meet the deadline in a row over state budgets.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who is on trial for suspected corruption is hoping to return to office for the sixth time, writes BBC.

He has denied criminal charges against him. He said that the allegation are politically biased.

PM Netanyshu who is the leader of the right-wing Likud party and Benny Gantz of the centrist Blue and White have blamed each other for the crisis.
